 Glastonbury’s ticket ballot for 2020, giving people the chance to purchase one of 50 pairs of tickets for next year’s music festival, is now open for all those who are registered  Tickets for the legendary music event first went on sale on October 6 and sold out at record speed in just 34 minutes Over 2.4 million people were registered to try and secure a ticket for the festival and organiser Emily Eavis said that demand was higher than ever  For those that missed out on securing a Glastonbury ticket, there’s always the chance to get one in the resale in April, or – specially announced for 2020 – through the ballot sale  To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the first Glastonbury Festival, the organisers have held back 50 pairs of tickets for next year’s event and are selling them to people who are chosen at random for their special ballot  The ballot opened today, Wednesday October 9, at 12 noon and will remain open until 5pm on Thursday October 31 Glastonbury ticket ballot 2020 – How to register and get tickets in the draw   Anyone with a current valid registration who didn’t manage to get a ticket for Glastonbury already can enter the ballot  All you have to do is enter your registration number and one other (for your chosen guest) into an entry form at glastonbury seetickets.com/ballot and you will be entered into the draw for a chance to buy a pair of tickets to the festival in 2020  The ballot will be drawn in the week commencing November 4 2019 and the 50 people lucky enough to have their number drawn will be contacted and asked if they would like the opportunity to purchase a pair of tickets    There are, of course, terms and conditions (such as no duplicated entries, no existing ticket holders to enter the ballot etc ) and unfortunately if you haven’t already registered for Glastonbury tickets then you have missed your chance this year, as registration is currently closed
